3D Printing

(FDM)

Your product is manufactured using a Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) process. This manufacturing technique facilitates almost unlimited geometric complexity.

Strength and

durability

If your purchased product is manufactured using FDM, the product will not be as strong as traditionally manufactured. This product is not mil-spec developed for the armed forces. If you try to break it, you will break it. If you install and use as intended, the accessory will function flawlessly.  Your product has been tested extensively under normal operating conditions and has functioned as intended without issue.

ABS

Material

Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) is a terpolymer made by polymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of polybutadiene. The most important mechanical properties of ABS are impact resistance and toughness. A variety of modifications can be made to improve impact resistance, toughness, and heat resistance. Lego bricks are made from ABS

PLA

Material

Polylactic acid, or polylactide (PLA) is a thermoplastic polyester. It is one of the most common 3D printing materials due to printing simplicity. It is stronger than ABS but not as durable. It also has a lower glass transition temperature than ABS making it less suitable for high temp applications. PLA is biodegradable therefore product like plastic bottles are manufactured from PLA.
